Here are a few pictures of the various processes the lens goes through in the lab. The main picture above shows a tech removing the "block" from the lens after it has been edged.

Lenses are loaded into a domed rack which is then placed inside the vacuum chamber.
After surfacing, small blocks are attached so that machinery can manipulate the lens during edging.
Our 5 automated edging systems give us the capacity to handle a very high rate of production.
Frames and lenses are assembled by our experienced finishing crew.
Final inspection is performed using a digital scope for speed and accuracy.
Inspection of uncut lenses take place using a lensometer to check for proper RX.
